Tania Couture

My research interests include conservation biology and how aquatic species respond to their changing environment in the context of human development and climate change. I've conducted research in both marine and freshwater biomes. From ocean acidification, cetacean migration, wetland characterisation, to subwatershed-scale research. My goal is to understand and develop better management and conservation practices in aquatic habitats to improve climate resilience and support human livelihood and wellbeing. At the moment, I am studying the effect of channel morphology and their effect on biological communities of fish in agricultural settings.
